RAL 7040 Window Gray Color Guide:

• RAL 7040 Fenstergrau was used for painting cockpits of modern German aircraft such as the F-104, Eurofighter Typhoon, etc.
• RAL 7040 Window Gray is used for Ukrainian Gray Pixel aircraft camouflage. It is a medium gray color of camouflage blotches on the upper surfaces of the aircraft. In addition to RAL 7040, this scheme also requires the use of RAL 7043 Traffic Gray B for the darkest camouflage spots, RAL 7037 Dusty Gray for the dark gray spots, and RAL 7038 Agate Gray for the lightest camouflage patches on the upper surfaces of the aircraft. The lower surfaces, according to this scheme, are to be painted RAL 7001 Silver Gray, and the radomes are to be painted RAL 7005 Mouse Gray.
• RAL 7040 Window Gray is also used for camouflaging Ukrainian Su-27s using the Blue Pixel scheme. This scheme also includes blotches of RAL 5015 Sky Blue and RAL 5017 Traffic Blue on the upper surfaces, RAL 5012 Light Blue on the lower surfaces, and radio transparent details painted in RAL 7000 Squirrel Gray.
